“From the moment I started at CPS, Sandi Horine was in my inbox advocating on behalf of students at Aiken High School. Sandi goes above and beyond her role as a School Counselor to ensure that Aiken students have access to their postsecondary dreams, CCP, College Fairs, and any appropriate courses needed for timely graduation- to name a few. Sandi has advocated for students in the district who are not eligible for CCP; ensuring that their voices and needs are heard at the district, college partner, and state level. Sandi stands in unity and support for those often unheard and unseen.
She remains steadfast in her student-centric approach to her work, finding opportunities to collaborate with peers and partners. It only takes a few moments in Sandi’s presence to know how passionate and dynamic she is. You will leave your conversation fired up, inspired, and with an actionable directive in hand. She is tireless in the pursuit of equitable processes, procedures and experiences for Aiken students and more broadly CPS students. I know that when Sandi Horine enters the room, the CPS student needs will be voiced, the resolve will be presented, and she will follow-through in making sure the work is concluded.”
