“This summer, Renita partnered with UC Blue Ash College to ensure that CPS graduates who were bound for UC Blue Ash had support, assistance, and active communication to navigate the summer college going process. There are so many things that students need to do in order to start college on day one (transcripts must be sent, students must attend orientation, they have to register for classes and submit health records, they have to accept their aid and go through aid counseling). Renita dedicated her summer to contacting students who had not achieved each of these tasks to ensure they had the support they needed to navigate each complicated process. She was praised continuously from the UC Blue Ash team who could not stop talking about her commitment, communication, and advocacy for students. As a result of her efforts an additional 40+ students throughout the summer were able to complete their college requirements to start at UC Blue Ash on the right foot!”
