“Mrs. Gilb is a true example of what “I Am CPS” stands for. She continuously finds ways to care, collaborate, improve, and commit to success. A perfect example of this is her selfless dedication to getting the very first library at LEAP academy up and running. She collaborated with two young ladies, who raised funds for the books. She reached out to anyone and everyone she knew — in-district and private companies alike — and made a way to get a real library for the kids. What she has done for the young school is true commitment. If you add in how hard she has worked this year with her kindergarten families to begin reading, you can understand why she has nearly half of her class already reading! I cannot think of a better example of talent in our district. Kudos to you, Mrs. Gilb, for all that you have accomplished!”
