“Lauren Borcherding is an Intervention Specialist in a Multiple Disabilities Unit at Roselawn Condon Elementary School. She also is the Department Chair for the building. Lauren holds a meeting each week for her fellow Intervention Specialists in the specialized classrooms. She provides the team with resources, reminders, and materials. She is creative and always willing to help brainstorm new ideas. She is regularly creating new resources for all of her students and is always willing to share other staff members.
Lauren is the first to step up to help solve any issues and contributed greatly to the Roselawn faculty and staff. Lauren is relentless in advocating for all of the students at Roselawn. She makes sure all students have access to the general education curriculum and enrichment activities. When the funds are scarce, she is wiling to find grants to make sure the students have every opportunity possible. The wellbeing and inclusion of student with all abilities is a top priority and at the forefront of every decision. Lauren also helps parents navigate the educational system and provides resources for parents to work in tandem with the school for the benefit of student progress. Lauren should be commended for the work she does that often goes unrecognized. She is a true gift to the Roselawn community.”
