“Ms. Kinney sponsors our Rainbow Café — LGBTQ+ Group. She is tireless in her efforts to include all students, and to be there at those times when students really need an understanding adult. Additionally, she is a tremendously empathetic listener, and positive from the moment she welcomes families and students in the high school parking lot in the morning, to the end of the day (no matter how long the day may seem to be). She is always looking for new and innovative ways to communicate her non-stop love of science, including wearing her humorous science-joke focused graphic t-shirts, to bring a smile to everyone’s face! Furthermore, I am a daily witness to her passionate striving to help every student she has contact with to be their best, and to recognize that success is within their grasp. She was the very first teacher I met at Shroder High School, and she has remained a consummate friend, confidant, and professional, who believes in and constantly champions the community here at our little school!”
