Stephanie goes above and beyond to answer any benefits questions I have! She answers in a timely manner and is always able to correct any errors that have been made. She makes Open Enrollment bearable.

I just wanted to give a huge shout out to Mrs. Sienicki! She came in and helped me run some writing stations in my classroom yesterday. She truly went above and beyond. We had good students out with a field trip, teachers and staff shortages, and several other challenges but she and I pulled off a very successful day. She was extremely supportive, honest and gave me a lot of incredible feedback. I am really lucky to have her as a coach, and I just wanted to let you know what an impact she made on me and my classroom yesterday. I am extremely grateful. Thank you!

I will never be able to express my gratitude for the support, kindness and caring for me as if I am family. More importantly, we have developed meaningful relationships that will last a lifetime. I was hired 3 years ago for a six-month assignment; it has been extended every 6 months since, sadly, the contract has come to an end I am going to miss this team and CPS, it has been one of the best work experiences I have had.

Kris is committed to success by learning new teaching strategies , attending professional development workshops, and finding creative ways to make learning fun and engaging for the kids. The dedication she shows to her students and the school is truly inspiring. She is always collaborating with her team and offers a helping hand whenever anyone in the school needs something. Cheviot and CPS are so lucky to have her!

Amy helps beyond her job duties. She has taken on a lot of extra responsibility since our main teacher has been out on FMLA. We make a good team by collaboration and keep things moving. I appreciate all the additional support she has given to keep the standards high and the curriculum on track. She shows she cares and is committed to doing a good job every day.

Dr. Jason Spencer – Senior Director – Safety Services Department – I Care, I Collaborate, I Continuously Improve, I Commit to Success

Dr. Spencer cares about the District, the Safety of our Students and Staff. By collaborating with the various departments he has been able to speed up the process with new employees getting their badges, making sure that everyone is safe with the continued improvement of safety equipment and emergency drills. Dr. Spencer is committed to every student succeeding with their education in a safety and secure environment. Dr. Jason Spencer has brought so much to our Safety Services Department and continues to challenge us to be the best we can be!

Joyce Brubaker-Trytten – 12th grade English teacher – Hughes STEM/English – I Care, I Collaborate, I Continuously Improve, I Commit to Success

Joyce is an amazing educator. I would not be the teacher I am today without her. She consistently goes above and beyond for her students and her student teachers. In 2019-2020 she taught me everything I know and I owe my success in education to her. Not only is she a superb educator, she’s just an all-around amazing human. Thank you for all you do, Joyce!

Kevin Bostater – 10/11 grade counselor – Aiken/Counselors – I Care, I Collaborate

Mr. Kevin continuously goes above and beyond for his case load. He is always willing to stop what he is doing and help out any students or teachers that may need it. He brings such a positive attitude and vibe to our school and he collaborates with everyone in the building. We couldn’t ask for a better counselor!

Emily Casey-Wagemaker – 11-12 Math – Woodward Career Technical High School – I Care, I Collaborate, I Continuously Improve, I Commit to Success

Emily demonstrates all four of these core values through their dedication to providing rigorous math education to ALL of her students. Emily currently teaches math classes in Spanish for the large ELL population Woodward is serving, and has made undeniable connections with all of those students through her compassion & dedication to serving them. She serves as a translator often for teachers & parents in the building, ensuring Woodward families are included in their students’ academic journey. She is also a fantastic co-teacher to accommodate her students with disabilities by making engaging lessons with tactile aids. She provides positive incentives for students by throwing class parties & giving consumable rewards. On top of all of that, she is a fantastic co-advisor to the LGBTQIA+ club here at Woodward. She has made deep connections with the students who attend regularly, and advocates on their behalf often. She’s also a phenomenal co-worker, always bringing the positivity & good energy we all need after a long day!

Kelsey Webb – Intervention Specialist – Pleasant Ridge Montessori – I Care, I Collaborate, I Continuously Improve, I Commit to Success

I CARE – Kelsey supports all students at arrival and throughout the day by hearing what they have to say and really listening to the information they share. She checks in with students and staff throughout the day to see how they are doing and if there is anything she can do to support them. I COLLABORATE – Kelsey works closely with her team of teachers to support the students needs on her case load. Kelsey enjoys sharing in the joy and excitement of learning of those students through the entire building. I CONTINUOUSLY IMPROVE – Kelsey is always thinking of the next step and what can we do better next time. She works to improve students success’s and create a strong community among the staff. I COMMIT TO SUCCESS – Kelsey helps promote students high achievement in all they do. She encourages high expectations and supports learning throughout the building on all levels.

Zoe Harvey – Deaf and Hard of Hearing – Intervention Specialist – Woodford – I Care, I Continuously Improve, I Commit to Success

She continuously to care of her students and is committed to improving their communication and language skills in the classroom! She is always there if you need something and willing to help another co-worker! She is just an awesome teacher and is committed to her job 100%! Zoe not only teaches in the classroom but also sets up DHH parent support group outside of school!

Lisa is a devoted teacher who cares about everyone of her students. She has great communication with her parents, her patience is never ending, and she is a great listener. She is organized, professional, and a team player. She makes her students feel safe and secure at all times. She puts in a tremendous effort to making sure her students understand the material.

Rolonda Smith demonstrates all of our “I AM CPS” values in that she is the person who is consistently taking care of all of us. Rolonda has demonstrated exceptional dedication to recognizing others in an impactful way. I have witnessed what this recognition means not only to the employee, but also to their team and their family. Rolonda implements programs and activities to help all of us take care of our mental, emotional and physical well-being. She consistently demonstrates a positive attitude, a passion for her work and makes a significant difference in CPS.

Andrea Tapp – Senior Executive Secretary – Chief of Staff & Chief Operations Officer – I Collaborate

Ms. Andrea Tapp goes above and beyond! Our team is procuring summer recovery classroom supplies and in efforts to continuously improve, we wanted to order the supplies and package them in such a way that teachers could take them with them at our summer recovery professional development. Without being asked, Ms. Tapp came over to our offices and volunteered to help pack baskets. I can only imagine what is already on her plate. We very much appreciate her heart for collaboration!

Erin Dean – Art Teacher Sands Montessori – I Collaborate, I Commit to Success

Erin Dean tries to incorporate whatever we are studying into the art that she is doing with our students. This makes the learning come alive and is a very collaborative approach to teaching art. In addition to that, she does projects that really challenge, engage and develop our students’ artistic expression. This is my second time nominating her because she really deserves it!

Francis Guzman – ESL – Hartwell School – I Care, I Collaborate, I Continuously Improve, I Commit to Success

Ms. Guzman is CPS! She is a superwoman to students, families, and staff. At Hartwell, Ms. Guzman’s position is ESL Teacher, but she is so much more than that. She goes out of her way to provide comfort and support to our LEP students and families through education and problem solving. She supports the school through organizing testing schedules, monitoring schoolwide testing completion and her leadership in ILT. Most of all, Ms. Guzman supports anyone who asks. She never turns down a request whether it be big or small. Her positive “Can Do” attitude is contagious to staff and students. We appreciate the instructional and emotional support that she bestows to Hartwell School. Ms. Guzman is CPS!

Julie Keininger – Senior Support Specialist – Mt. Washington School – I Care, I Collaborate, I Continuously Improve, I Commit to Success

Julie Keininger has worked at Mt. Washington School for over 11 years and she is one of a kind. Julie leads and runs the school office in an efficient and effective manner. She is very organized and knowledgeable about every component of her job. Julie Keininger is a work horse. She will complete a to do list in record time! Julie greets the public with kindness and respect. The parents and guardians of Mt. Washington know her by name and she helps them with all of their questions and concerns. As the school principal, I feel comfortable delegating work to Julie because it will get finished and done correctly. Julie knows that if I have a new idea or project for the school, she will join in as a collaborator to see through with the vision. In addition to all of these great qualities, Julie Keininger is caring to the students and staff at Mt. Washington. She will mentor and support anyone who needs assistance.

Allyson Richer – Career Development Specialist – Talent I Care, I Commit to Success

Allyson cares immensely for all CPS staff and their personal and professional growth. As a part of her day-to-day work, Allyson is currently working with over 60 CPS employees who are participating in a teacher credentialing pathway. Allyson is always willing to do whatever is needed by the HR/Talent team and she recently supported over 30 staff to complete scholarship applications within ODE’s new Grow Your Own program.

Allyson supports professional development for all staff throughout the district and was a critical part of the success of our CFOP and AFSCME trainings earlier this year.

Tracy Stillwell-Hoskins – Community Partnership Specialist & Title 1/NKOA District Lead – Family & Community Engagement – I Care, I Collaborate, I Continuously Improve, I Commit to Success

Tracy Stillwell-Hoskins exemplifies the I AM CPS core values daily. Tracy leads Title 1 & Neediest Kids of All for the district, supports all high school resource coordinators, and uses her talents and skills to connect resources to CPS students and families to ensure they have what they need to succeed. She has been a staff member of CPS for over 30 years now, and is dedicated to improving the district and connecting with the community, partners, and volunteers. Tracy knows no stranger (truly!), and is always a bright light to those she meets (you can always find her dancing or singing!). I feel truly grateful to work with and learn from Ms. Tracy!

Craig Trzaska – Counselor – Hughes STEM – II Collaborate, I Commit to Success

Mr Trzaska is new to our building this year, but has immediately created a supportive caring atmosphere for all students and staff alike. As a counselor preparing students to graduate, he continually collaborates with teachers to best prepare our students and communicates with students and parents on a regular basis. He not only helps students know what pathways they are needing to graduate, but also with getting students into Union programs, college entrance, job opportunities around the city as well as scholarship opportunities. He truly has jumped into this position with both feet and really has been an asset to our school and students. He has filled in as field trip chaperone as well as helping students with transportation to job shadowing, pre apprenticeships and programs. We are lucky to have Craig and his smile and dedication to improving learning and collaboration for all.

Lillie McCants is the light at Woodward! Her light shines everyday and she is so helpful to all staff and students and families. She is supportive, organized, and most helpful. I think she is amazing and we appreciate her! Special people like Ms. McCants exist to make our lives better and to mold us to become a better version of ourselves.

Kira is excellent at building relationships with students and parents. She uses student progress data to help students reach their potential and strives to help students become the best versions of themselves. She collaborates with her coteachers continuously so that, together, they can support our students and help them grow.

Jean Coleman – 3rd Grade Math and Science – Roselawn Condon – I Care, I Collaborate, I Continuously Improve, I Commit to Success

Ms. Coleman shows she cares by being there for her students and everyone at Roselawn Condon. She shows she collaborates by going out of her way to support all subjects at Roselawn. She supports the reading OST test prep and does whatever she can to make others feel welcome. She continuously improved by attending data meetings and implementing what is talked about in those meetings. She is very coachable and works with the math coaches to make sure students achieve. She is committed to success by being who she is. She is a ball of energy and positivity which shows in her classroom. She is fair, firm, and consistent with her students.

Kathy time and time again proves to be an outstanding educator and mentor. Her ability to multitask and plan fun, educational activities within her class as well as fieldtrips for our students does not go unnoticed. Her support during my first year back in Cincinnati Public Schools has been tremendous. She regularly ensures I am prepared for upcoming events and though is not an assigned mentor, has taken on this role to ensure my success alongside hers. I truly can’t thank her enough for her unwavering support!

Ann Myers – Intervention Specialist – Dater Montessori – I Commit to Success

Ann has consistently used data to driver decisions with all of the students she works with. With a special young man that she serves, Ann has went above and beyond with utilizing the data (academic, behavior, culture) to collaborate with the educational team, the family, admin, and all teachers to help create detailed daily plans to help him be as successful as he can through the school day. Ann’s commitment to success is contagious in our building.

Deborah Miller – 7th ELA Teacher – Shroder – I Care, I Collaborate, I Continuously Improve, I Commit to Success

Ms. Miller is a crucial team member that dedicates her time to creating a positive culture for our middle school students. She holds our students to a high academic standard while keeping them engaged and unconditionally supporting each and every student. She also has seamlessly ran our student council which has given our students more opportunities for leadership and diverse experiences. Ask any 7th grader and they’ll talk your ear off as to why they love Ms. Miller. Ask any 7th grader teacher/staff and they’ll express their sincerest gratitude towards her. Shroder middle school is so fortunate to have Ms. Miller as a team member. We thank you for all that you do for our students and school!

Erin Dean – Art Teacher – Sands Montessori – I Collaborate, I Commit to Success

Erin will send out an email asking what we will be studying so that she can support our instruction with an art project (all of our specialists do this). She asks about students absences and tries to allow them time to come to a different special so that they may make up instructional time. She is committed to success because she develops amazing art projects and the students create masterpieces. She displays them so that everyone can share and see that students can develop as artists.

Michael Beasley – Senior Security Assistant – College Hill Academy – I Care, I Collaborate, I Continuously Improve, I Commit to Success

“Coach” Michael Beasley is the foundation to College Hill Academy. He is committed to our students in a variety of ways including M.O.R.E. advisor as well as our football, basketball, and track coach. He is a model example to our young male students each day. He collaborates with our two newest security assistants and models what is expected of them daily. He ensures all staff and students are staff each day and wants the best from all of of our students and families. He is a CPS grad and is unofficially known in the community as the “Mayor of College Hill.”

Tony Fields – Manager – Customer Care Center – I Care, I Collaborate

Mr. Fields has gone above and beyond to support schools, families, and other departments through EZ-Core meetings. This cross-collaboration allows several departments to problem solve and support one another. Tony has worked with me to develop regularly scheduled trainings with our non-public registrars to ensure we are properly serving students and transportation errors have significantly decreased. Tony has also supported a culture of supporting administrators and schools when parents/families have needs. He always has a smile and a positive energy that is contagious. Thank you Mr. Tony for all you do for our district!

Brad Fletcher – School Psychologist – Pleasant Ridge Montessori – I Care, I Collaborate, I Commit to Success

Mr. Brad demonstrates core values daily at PRM. He is always going the extra mile to engage with students and build rapport with them to show them that he cares. He is constantly collaborating with school staff and families to ensure success for all students. Mr. Brad is always willing to drop what he is doing to help other staff members, students and their families! I could not ask for a better team member to work with and has made my experience working for CPS so successful. PRM is lucky to have him!!

Cindy Gray – Graduation Counselor – West High – I Care, I Collaborate, I Continuously Improve, I Commit to Success

Cindy has been an INCREDIBLE addition to our West High family this year! She goes above and beyond breaking down data- she has every graph, pie chart, excel sheet in every subgroup of demographic and even more. She found multiple transcripts for ESOL students, got them translated and found so many credits that are causing those students to graduate on time and for some, even early. She has built wonderful relationships with both staff and students. Cindy also covered for another school counselor in our building while they were out on leave with absolute ease and no hesitation. I genuinely cannot praise Cindy enough for all of her hard work and dedication and there is no doubt that our graduation rate will increase in huge part to her work ethic.

Suzanne Hall – Accountant – Treasurer – I Care, I Collaborate, I Continuously Improve, I Commit to Success

Suzanne Hall demonstrates all 4 core values daily. She developed great relationships with our procurement team within the first few days of working with our department. She has created smooth lines of communication and collaboration, ensuring that both departments are incredibly responsive to one another. She is a great thought partner when various barriers arise, getting answers to questions back to our team quickly and accurately. Her commitment to success is visible every day and we greatly appreciate her as our accountant!
