Thanks to the support of voters in the Cincinnati Public Schools district, the $65 million, ten-year levy was renewed last night.
We are grateful to our district’s voters who once again voted to support Cincinnati Public Schools and supporting academic achievement, personal well-being and career readiness of our students. The ten-year renewal of this $65 million levy will support expanded choices and opportunities for our students and families, support our students’ pursuit of postgraduation pathways in college, military or career, and ensure that our district is a destination for all Cincinnati families.
It’s also acknowledgment that the voters of this district believe that CPS is headed in the right direction. Every day, our nearly 6,000 staff — teachers, paraprofessionals, dining services, facilities, administrators, principals and other professionals — support a culture of excellence in all our schools and departments.
Our three-year strategic plan is our roadmap for making CPS a district of destination, and with this renewal, we’re able to dig in to accomplish the goals of this community-designed plan. Even the Cincinnati Enquirer is excited about the trajectory of CPS.
With midterms, end-of-course exams, and the holiday season ahead in November and December, we hope the spirit of renewal and the support of our community inspires you to realize our ambitious goals on behalf of our students.
Thanks for all you do on behalf of our nearly 37,000 students and their families.
